I was thinking about putting mine on top of the TV or somewhere warm for a few days. Will this work?

hang them up for about 2 weeks or until they are dry on the outside but a bit damp on the inside then put them in glass jars for about a month.

Putting them on the tv will fast dry them... this will make the bud taste harsh... Cut them off at the base and trim all the large fan leaves that are left and discard them... then trim all the smaller leaves and save them for hash or cooking...
Hang them in a dark cool place... Light degrades thc at this point...
Humidity should be around 40%
Make sure there is air flow around the buds and that none are touching.
You can tell they are ready when the stem snapps and the weed will stay lit in a joint... You can now cut all the nugs off the stem and jar them... only fill the jars 1/2 full ... Burp (open) the jar twice a day (5Min) and gently tumble them ,for the first two weeks you should then be able to fill the jars and store them away... if you see any humidity build up in the jars... they weren't dry enough and you need to back up one step.
